Final Destination is Finally coming back. I’ve been a fan of the series from the beginning it’s just a fun Horror series. It’s also a truly terrifying concept. What would you do if death was hunting you and the smallest thing could end you? Just putting yourself in the mindset is a real trip. Final Destination came out in 2000 , Final Destination 2 2003 , Final Destination 3 2006 , The Final Destination 2009 , Final Destination 5 in 2011. So it’s been 12 years now since this series has been around. Many reboot rumors have of course spread throughout the years but never came to fruition.
So now Final Destination is coming back and it’s going to be Produced by Jon Watts from Spider-Man No Way Home fame. But the real key to why he’s perfect for this is his movie Clown. It’s a twisted piece of work that I recommend you check out. I can’t wait to see what they give us and I hope that they have sequels planned out. I’ve always thought that Final Destination would make a great series. Especially on HBO Max where they could give it a proper budget and their wouldn’t be any gore constraints. Now with Chucky series , I know what you did last summer series , and new entries like Yellowjackets a horror series in the Final Destination universe is a no brainer.
With the ease of use when it comes to CGI in the last 12 years since the last Final Destination just imagine the kills they can come up with. I would love practical effect of course but I’m not sure they would go for that. They just need to make sure they have a great team on it so they don’t come off as corny.
So how about you guys, how are you feeling about Final Destination 6 are you as excited about it as I am? The series is know for it’s creative kills and I think we’re in for a treat. Can’t wait to hear more about this project. So good to see New Line Cinema bringing the Horror goodness all these years later. Of course it’s under the Warner Bros umbrella but seeing New Line Cinema logo come up on the screen brings back many great memories. Oh and they better bring back Tony Todd it’s not Final Destination without him. I will of course have to now marathon the Final Destination movies as it’s been awhile.
