Help Us Find Aaron Heath Rogers for the Severe Beating of Lori Whitmer
Holly Hill police are looking for a man who severely beat up a woman and then jumped from a second-floor apartment’s balcony to escape, said police Chief Steve Aldrich.
Aaron Rogers, 38, who was under house arrest for beating up another woman in Daytona Beach in January, removed his ankle monitor and his whereabouts are unknown, Aldrich said.
The woman was severely beaten and ended up in the hospital with “very bad facial injuries,” court records show.
Rogers called police and said he is turning himself in but has not done so and police continue to look for Rogers who has a warrant for his arrest for violating house arrest conditions, authorities said.
Aldrich said Holly Hill police also filed domestic violence charges on Rogers.
In August, Daytona Beach police said Rogers also beat up another woman, 29, and left her with a swollen and bruised eye. The woman was also choked until she lost consciousness, police said.
Rogers pleaded no contest to felony battery/domestic violence by strangulation and battery. He was put under house arrest on Sept. 5, according to court records.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is also assisting Holly Hill police in trying to catch Rogers, said sheriff’s spokesman Andrew Gant.
Rogers is wanted for aggravated domestic battery from an incident that occurred at the Blue Tide Apartments at 305 Riverside Drive in Holly Hill, Gant said.
